When Dad's Away, We Play!

For the month of March Austin had to leave us for a rotation in Prescott. It was not fun being without him! We only lasted for one week before we headed back to Texas for some help and company. We always have such a fun time in Texas, and this trip was no different!

Loving time with Aunt Jessica :)
My mom kept the old high chair from when I was a little baby, so we pulled it out for Paxton to use.
All ready before Sunday church
After a week Lexi, came out from Idaho to join the party! Things really got fun once Jessica's spring break started, and Lexi was around to play :D
Dad was gone, so Jessica took on the role of chef and made us all mini apple pies :)
Growing up in a house full of girls, there aren't many boy toys around for Paxton to play with. This is about the only thing, a fire truck to ride around on. In the mean time, Paxton basically became a doll for all us girls to pose him on different props while we took pictures haha poor guy!
By this point Paxton had enough, he was going to chew on the piano to make us stop haha
Monday we went out for some mani and pedi's. Paxton was such a good boy! He fell asleep the whole time we were there but probably from boredom haha
Another day we went to the movie Oz. Grandma had the magic touch and kept Paxton asleep the whole movie!
We took a trip down to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. They weren't really in bloom yet, but it was still nice to get out for the day.
That night we went out for some good Texas BBQ :)
Friday was finally the day Paxton had been waiting for. Now more girly things, but a trip to the zoo! In all honesty he had no idea what was going on, and was more intrigued by the fences, ropes and birds, but it was still fun!
Saturday I thought I had booked my flight for 7:30am but soon realized I booked the 7:30pm flight! It left us more time to spend with family which we loved, but meant for a long night for Pax and me.
We really missed Austin and were so excited to see him when we got back, but as always we missed our family. It is always bitter sweet to leave. We are sure glad that rotation is over though!

Sunday was none other than St. Patrick's day. Paxton had to wear some green for the occasion!

Seven Month/Easter Pictures

At the beginning of March, we found a photographer who was offering to do some pictures with little chicks and a duck for Easter. We decided to jump on the opportunity to take a few pictures for Paxton's half birthday (but really we didn't get them taken until he was seven months old). Pax did surprisingly well with the animals!

Another Month Gone...

I can't believe we are already in March! I thought I would just post some random pics of what we have been doing the past month.

We have been taking every advantage to be outside, and enjoy this nice weather before it is gone. If Arizona were this nice year round, I would never leave.
One Saturday it was especially nice, so we went and hiked some trails close to our house.
We also took Pax out to the pool, but the water was too cold for him to get in. We just enjoyed some sun instead. There will be a lot more pool days this summer for him to enjoy!
Someone is fascinated with the grass, as you can tell from this picture and the first one. Also his little belly poking out is my fav!
We go on lots of walks while dad is working.
Sometimes, if the park isn't too crowded, we stop for a ride in the swing. One day we were there with some friends, and they noticed he had fallen asleep while I was pushing him hahah He can honestly sleep anywhere... except for his crib :/
We celebrated Valentine's day of course. I couldn't resist to take some pictures of him with kisses. Austin and I kept it pretty chill by just cooked up some steaks, and getting some cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory to go.
Austin and I chose not to get each other gifts for valentines day, but we still went out that day and got Paxton a little something. A tool bench to help motivate him to sit up. He is starting his tool collection young, just like Papa Wade and Austin :)
Paxton is always so good when we go shopping, which we have been doing a lot of lately. I am trying to redo some stuff in my living room for my birthday/valentines present.
This isn't a great picture, but Paxton is obsessed over playing with the wipes bag. We let him play with it for a little while, but then one day he scratched his eye on the bag so now I try to put it in a basket away from him. One day I laid him down on the floor far away from the basket, turned around for a few seconds, and when I looked back he had rolled over a couple times to get to the wipes! Such a little stinker!
Also the other day I was eating some apples and Paxton just kept staring at me, so I wondered what he would do if I put it in his mouth. At first he was so confused but then he liked sucking on it, and licking it. It's like his own healthy sucker!
So that is about all that has been going on here. We are excited to go to Texas on Sunday and see our family again!
