Here are some pics from Paxton's first week! He was so lucky to have so much family around to love and cuddle him :)
Meeting Grandpa Shawn for the first time!
Nothing like sucking on a pacifier that's as big as your face! haha
Sunday night that bad spinal headache started coming back... On top of that our A/C broke at 10:00pm Sunday night forcing us to go get a hotel... with a 3 day old baby! It was not the best night of our lives, but we survived with lots of help. I felt bad that I hadn't gotten any pictures with Paxton and me, but when you feel like crap you tend to look like crap. It wasn't until Tuesday night that I went back to the ER and got another blood patch. We all prayed that this would be the last one, and that my headache would finally be gone.
Finally starting to feel better Wednesday, and taking Paxton on his first outing to the doctors.
Check out those piggies! haha
Grandpa surprised Paxton with a friend haha
Melman the giraffe!
Getting newborn pictures done. That was quite the experience... the girl had to turn off her A/C to keep Paxton sleepy, which meant we sat in a house for 3 hours with no A/C on a 112 degree day! Hopefully it will all be worth it when we get the pics back :)
This was after Paxton's second bath... the first one was a traumatic experience for our little guy, but the second time dad was there to help and he did a lot better!
While Austin was at work one day, my mom helped us get ready for another outing... Costco! Gotta stock up on those diapers haha
Grandma Victoria was such a huge help! We couldn't have done it without her :)
We love our sweet little boy!!
The day my mom left was quite the reality check... It was time to adjust to Austin working and it just Paxton and me. Luckily each day has been a little better than the last. It is true what they say, being a mom is one of the hardest but most rewarding jobs in the world :D
HOly cow, I forget how small they are, and he's smaller than ours ever were! That pic of him in the car seat is crazy!! He looks SO little!!
