twenty-five.

Yesterday Austin turned 25!! He wasn't very excited for this birthday because 25 is kind of a turning point. As he put it he is no longer allowed to check the 18-24 box on any type of paperwork. He now has to check the older box haha None the less I was determined to give him a great birthday celebration :D

We started out the morning with Austin's breakfast request... pancakes! No surprise there haha
I tried to make one of the pancakes in the shape of a heart but as you can see it didn't really work out... haha the batter was to thick so I just stuck to boring old circles.

After breakfast Austin opened up his birthday cards and presents. I had ordered him some clothes from Abercrombie so he had at least one present to open up :)

That is the face Austin makes when he is excited haha
All lined up in a row haha
With a great start to the morning we kept the party going! We got all ready and headed over to Scottsdale to catch an afternoon showing of Transformers!
The birthday boy!
We actually really liked transformers! The end kind of dragged on like it always does but for the most part it was really good :D When we came out from the movie theaters it was like 115 outside! I guess mother nature didn't get the message that Austin doesn't like hot weather... she instead decided to crank up the heat on his birthday haha while we were over in Scottsdale we stopped by Nothing Bundt Cakes, one of Austin's favorite places :)
I had offered to make Austin a cake or some cupcakes but he wanted a birthday bundt cake instead... maybe he is getting burnt out from all my cupcakes experiments hahah

We went home for a little while to take a break from our busy morning and then it was off to Austin's birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse! Austin was really wanting a steak for his birthday and since we didn't have the budget to go back to Roaring Fork, Texas Roadhouse was the next best thing :D
We went home after dinner to enjoy those birthday bundt cakes and then just hung out the rest of the night. I think overall Austin's birthday was a success!

Oh and I also spent the night making little 4th of July treats for our primary kids and after getting them all packaged up and cute Austin then remembers that Sunday is fast sunday... Awesome! haha So now I have a fridge full of chocolate covered rice krispies cause I felt bad taking them to church...
